LYNX is a laser indirect ophthalmoscope headset developed for Norlase, a global ophthalmic medical device company. The project focused on redesigning the plastic front shell of the headset, which houses a new patterned laser technology. The result is a premium medical device whose form reflects both its advanced capability and the design language established by its predecessor, ECHO. The process began with initial sketches and moved into intensive prototyping to ensure the shell adapted correctly to internal components and the assembly process. The design challenge was to differentiate LYNX from LION while maintaining coherence with the ECHO product line and clearly communicating the device's technical advancement through form.
