More than 10,000 hours of work shaped the award-winning F8 design. Its asymmetrical form reflects the speed and efficiency of the workflows it facilitates, while circular elements emphasize the mechanism's movement. The aluminum ring conveys precision, and the design blends Scandinavian minimalism with functionality.

The scanner pays homage to Scandinavian design traditions by combining minimal form with maximum function.

Research was key to the project, as global visits to dental labs revealed the need for a scanner that embodied speed in every aspect. This insight drove the design, resulting in a scanner that enhances workflow efficiency for lab technicians in fast-paced environments.

The F8 lab scanner received the Red Dot’s Best of the Best Award 2023 which is the highest distinction in the competition and awarded to pioneering designs.

“The F8 dual model scanner has a clear, dynamic form, is made of high-quality materials and presents a well-thought-out design. Its open structure and intuitive operation simplify workflow in dental labs, where time is often a major factor,” found the jurors.

F8 expertly balances user experience, aesthetics, and performance, with every detail crafted for seamless functionality and visual appeal.

To enable new workflows, we designed new innovative scanner tools, without compromising the support for older tools.
